Lebanese President Michel Aoun has called for national unity after anti-government protests in Beirut turned violent.
"Our strength remains in our national unity...What happened last night is a warning bell," Aoun's office said on Twitter.
"We must put our political disputes aside and hurry to work together to revive our country from the depth of the successive crises."
According to reports, security forces fired tear gar at protestors on Saturday after they started to attack them.
Security forces were also deployed in some neighbourhoods after reports of gunfire.
