The US officials confirmed that a man in his 50s with underlying health conditions died in Washington, while a 78-year-old man, who was onboard the virus-hit Diamond Princess, died in a hospital in Perth.

In Thailand, a 35-year-old man, who also had dengue fever, died from the virus.
