Previously unreleased songs by Jimi Hendrix are set to go under the hammer at auction, along with other items of memorabilia belonging to the musician.

Fans will have the opportunity to own the items, which include 50 rare tapes, personal paperwork such as payslips, a form filled out by the star, and dry cleaning bills.

The collection comes from an archive held by Patricia 'Trixie' Sullivan, who worked with Hendrix's manager Mike Jeffery.

The auction will be live-streamed from London on November 15 and is part of a wider sale of music memorabilia which includes items from other legends such as Michael Jackson, Oasis, Queen and John Lennon.

Hendrix was one of the most influential musicians of the late 1960s thanks to his unique mix of rock, soul and jazz sounds.
