A much sought-after wristwatch owned by film star Sylvester Stallone is being sold at auction and could fetch up to AED 18.3million ($5 million) when it goes under the hammer.
The Hollywood A-lister is selling 11 watches from his personal collection, including the rare 6300G-010 Grandmaster Chime, which is expected to attract the highest bids when it’s put up for sale at Sotheby’s.
The Important Watches auction, taking place in New York on June 5, will be the first time the rare timepiece has appeared at auction.
It's the most complicated ever created by Patek Philippe and widely considered as a ‘holy grail’.
Stallone has never worn it, keeping it in pristine condition, still in the box, and sealed in a plastic casing.
The Grandmaster Chime was released in 2014 as part of the brand’s 175th anniversary and later became part of Patek Philippe’s permanent collection in 2016. It took 100,000 hours to produce and assemble.
