Oprah Winfrey made $12 million from just one tweet. The media mogul is a shareholder in Weight Watchers and after she posted a short video message about being able to lose 26 pounds, while still eating bread, shares in the weight loss brand - of which she owns $6 million, making her the largest individual stakeholder - increased by 18%, or around $2.10 per share, within an hour, according to Market Watch. The multi-million dollar tweet posted on Tuesday (26.01.16) shared a video link alongside a message which read: "Eat bread. Lose weight. Whaaatttt? #ComeJoinMe (sic)" In the 30-second clip, Oprah said: "I lost 26 pounds, and I have eaten bread every single day." However, the 61-year-old star won't be able to bank her profits just yet as she would have to sell her shares to get the funds. Oprah became a spokesperson for Weight Watchers in October, just after buying 10% of the organisation's shares for around $43.2 million, and follows in the footsteps of the likes of Jennifer Hudson and Jenny McCarthy who have previously represented the group. When she joined the company, the share price rose by a staggering $100 and saw another spike later that month when she told talk show host Ellen DeGeneres she had lost 15 pounds thanks to the weight-loss programme.
