Oasis documentary announced

Oasis are set to be the subject of a feature length documentary, which will give fans a behind-the-scenes insight into the band's journey. James Gay Rees, the producer of 'Amy' - which documents the career and life of the late Amy Winehouse - has united with award-winning filmmaker Mat Whitecross for the film, which begins where Noel Gallagher joined his brother Liam's band in 1991. The documentary - which will feature archive material - is expected to show the release of the band's first album 'Definitely Maybe,' which still holds the record as the fastest-selling debut album in British history and will follow their rise to fame as they geared up to play Knebworth Park in 1996. With 2.6 million applying for tickets for the concerts, the band could have played 20 sold out nights at the venue. But the chances of a reunion are unlikely as Noel recently insisted there was no chance of the band reforming for Glastonbury as the music festival "don't pay enough". He shared: "I don't know where the rumours keep coming from about Glastonbury. Would we ever do it? They don't have enough money I'm afraid. That's the bottom line, they just don't pay enough. I've done it a few times, I know what they pay and it's not enough."
