After almost two years since the last instalment dropped, Netflix's wildly popular royal drama 'The Crown' returns for the third season on November 17.

Oscar-winner Olivia Colman will take over from Claire Foy as Queen Elizabeth II in the lead role.

The streaming network also released a short trailer that shows Colman walking into the frame and looking into the camera.

Tobias Menzies plays Prince Phillip, while Oscar nominee Helena Bonham Carter portrays Princess Margaret.

The third season will jump forward in time significantly, spanning 1964 to 1977.
