Kuwaiti actress Hayat Al Fahad has passed away at the age of 78 on Tuesday after suffering from an illness, her official account announced on social media.
Al Fahad, who is also a broadcaster, writer, and producer, is best known for her roles in several Gulf plays and drama series, most notably Jarh Al Zaman, Qumasha, Ruqiya wa Sabika, and 'ndama Tu'Gany Al Zuhor.
Born in Kuwait in April 1948, Al Fahad debuted in the series Bu Jassum's Family in 1962, where she continued to rise to fame and became a pioneer in the field for decades.
Announcing her death, the Al Fahad Production Foundation remembered the actress as an icon of Gulf drama who has left a legacy that will be remembered for generations.
