Famed for her record-breaking singles and electrifying live performances, Katy Perry will take to the stage for a spectacular performance under the stars against the backdrop of the iconic Atlantis, The Palm on New Year's Eve.
During an exclusive interview with Dubai Eye 103.8's The Business Breakfast show on Thursday, Kym Barter, Managing Director of Atlantis Dubai, said, "Katy Perry is going to bring a great atmosphere, a great party, and incredible energy" to the celebrations.
The American pop star has sold over 70 million adjusted albums and 143 million tracks worldwide since her Capitol Records debut in 2008.
The biggest-selling female artist in Capitol history, Katy is one of only twelve artists to surpass 100 million certified units with solo single releases.
Her New Year's Eve performance will bring a setlist packed with chart-topping hits and fan favourites, including Firework, Roar, Last Friday Night, and Dark Horse.
The Grammy-nominated artist was here in the UAE last December for the the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix's After Race Concerts.
The Atlantis previously hosted Maroon 5, Sting, and Beyonce in their previous NYE Galas.
