Global Village is calling budding singers and seasoned artists from across the world to join their opening act as they launch their 25th season.
Teaming up with the Arabian Radio Network (ARN), the organisers have invited applications from musicians who wish to join the world's largest rock band, Rockin' 100.
Once they register on the official website with a recorded video of their performance, organisers will pick 2,500 artists to "celebrate the power of community and cultural inclusion".
The concert will be streamed to the Main Stage of Global Village on October 30.
"Global Village is all about bringing people and cultures together," said Jaki Ellenby, Executive Director of Marketing and Events, Global Village. "We want to promote the spirit of togetherness through music – a community event transcending social differences, geographical borders, generation gaps, and other discriminations between peoples.”
Meanwhile, Fabio Zaffagnini, Founder and General Manager, Rockin’ 1000, invited "artists of all levels" to join them on "this wonderful journey".
"We believe that if it is possible anywhere it is possible in Dubai."
