Harry and Meghan seek meeting, apology

Following the airing of their docuseries on Netflix, reports have emerged that Harry and Meghan are pushing for an apology from the royal family.

Reports in the UK suggest that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex want to "sit down with the royal family" and address a few of the "issues" raised against the monarchy.

The new demand reportedly has been inspired by a recent incident where a reconciliation meeting was held between Black charity boss Ngozi Fulani and former lady-in-waiting Lady Susan Hussey.

It had emerged that the former lady-in-waiting to Queen Elizabeth II had demanded answers from Fulani on her ethnicity and heritage. Hussey, 83, is Prince William’s godmother.

Meghan and Harry allegedly believe there are "double standards" within the family.

"Nothing like that was ever done when Harry and Meghan raised various concerns - no meeting, formal apology or taking responsibility or accountability," a source told The Times. "That is hard to swallow — 100 per cent yes they’d like to have a meeting."

Reports have also emerged that Harry has booked an interview with Anderson Cooper and will be releasing a memoir soon.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, as Harry and Meghan are officially known, stepped down from royal duties in March 2020, saying they wanted to forge new lives in the United States away from media harassment.
