British director Danny Boyle says he's relieved his film 'Yesterday' has received the approval of The Beatles.

Arriving at the film’s UK premiere, Boyle said he had received messages from Ringo Starr and the widow of George Harrison.

Yesterday tells the story of a young man, played by former EastEnders star Himesh Patel, who wakes up from an accident to discover he is the only person who remembers the Fab Four.

The movie also features Ed Sheeran, playing himself, as the person who helps Jack recreate some of the band’s most famous hits, sending his career soaring.
