UAE and Thailand start CEPA talks

WAM

The UAE has announced it's working towards a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement with Thailand.

The Minister of State for Foreign Trade, Dr Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, said it marks a new era of economic progress and opportunity for both nations.

In 2022, non-oil trade between the two countries reached $ 6.1 billion, up 21 per cent from 2021.

A UAE-Thailand CEPA will not only boost these numbers, the minister added, but will increase investment in key sectors such as tourism, food security, IT and logistics.
