Google is reportedly planning a smarter mobile messaging app to better compete with rivals. The new service would apparently use artificial intelligence and so-called "chat robots" to lure users. It's said that the app will rely on chatbots to give answers to queries and will work almost like search engines. It’s not clear when the service will be launched, or what it will be called. Popular messaging apps include Facebook's WhatsApp and Messenger, and Tencent Holdings Ltd's WeChat, while Google has a service called Hangouts.
