Airports around the US are experiencing delays in processing international travellers due to a nationwide outage of its Customs and Border Protection's (CBP) processing systems.
In a tweet, the CBP said there was "no indication the disruption was malicious in nature at this time" and "the affected systems are coming back online and travellers are being processed."
Earlier, CBP said officers were processing travellers using alternative procedures that caused "longer than usual wait times".
The computer glitch, however, did not impact departures or changes to flight schedules.
