Abu Dhabi has a new digital identity in the virtual space with the unique domain name of ".abudhabi".

An Abu Dhabi Media Office report clarified that the domain name is accessible to all citizens, residents and employers working both in and outside the capital city.

This move is expected to boost the emirate’s digital presence in key sectors like tourism, culture and economy.

It aims to attract organisations interested in local business opportunities, including events, festivals and fairs hosted annually by Abu Dhabi.

Registration for the same can be done via nic.abudhabi.

More than 550 names have been successfully registered to the ".abudhabi" domain to date.
