Cheap Things to do this Weekend!

The festive season is done, and our bank balances are all looking a little low. But that doesn't mean you should coup yourself up in your house all weekend and watch Netflix. We've had a root around the web to find some free or almost free things to do this weekend, so we can have some fun, while not spending loads!

1: Jazz up your Instagram

Dubai is becoming one of the most Instagrammable cities in the world, and the likes of Dubai Design District, Bluewaters Island, JBR and La Mer are the perfect locations to get a little pop of colour and culture into your feed, at no extra cost!

2: Go see a free movie

Cinema Akil has daily showings of movies in their cosy movie room in Alserkal Avenue. On Saturday they're showing American comedy Thunder Rod which follows a Texan police officer during his ongoing and often hilarious nervous breakdown.

3: Go visit some camels

The Camel Farm, located in Al Lisaili just off the Dubai/Al Ain highway, has been open since November 2018 and is an open space for adults and kids to experience camels in their natural living environment, as well as a mini petting farm for kids to feed and pet other small farm animals.

The general admission is AED20, with the additional costs of camel feeding and other activities start from AED10.

4: Enjoy some poetry

MXD Entertainment is hosting their very own poetry night this Friday at the Pullman Deira City Centre Dubai. It's welcome to everyone and there will be complimentary drinks to the first 40 people - yum!

There's no ticket price, and it's welcome to all the family.

5: Visit the Dubai Frame

Immerse yourself in the past, present and future of Dubai by going to The Dubai Frame, while at the same time getting some perfect pics for the 'Gram with the panoramic views of new and old Dubai.

Prices for Adults: AED50
Prices for Kids aged 3-12: AED30 - Kids under 3 go free.
