One World: Together at Home, a Global Citizen benefit concert went down last night.  It included loads of performances recorded mostly from the homes of artists around the world.  You can see performances from Lady Gaga, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Rita Ora, Billie Eilish with her brother Fineas, and tons more.   My favorite was probably Charlie Puth, who couldn’t even be bothered to make his bed, but sounded incredible.  The global event raised above $128 million so far for COVID-19 relief.

Selena Gomez is suing a video game maker for stealing her likeness - and they’re going to lose big time.  The mobile game Clothes Forever completely ripped off a photo from a magazine cover Selena did in November of 2015 and animated it.  They didn’t change the style of clothing, or even the color - they just drew a picture of Selena Gomez and used it, probably thinking no one would notice.  Someone noticed.   So Selena is popping them in court for $10 million.

Ellen Degeneres is getting some heat from her crew.  The host has been a very positive voice out front during the pandemic, being very encouraging and supportive, while also expressing her desire to get back to work so she can support her staff and crew that keep her show running.  But some of her staff aren’t happy because she’s reportedly used a non-union crew to help her set up at her home while she does the show remotely.  They also say they haven’t received any communication about pay.

My favorite video of the other day.  One of the many silver linings to this pandemic is that animal rescues are way up, as people want to have a companion while they isolate. Check out this video of the staff at the Palm Beach County Animal Rescue in Florida celebrating as they have a completely empty facility for the first time ever.
