Idris Elba's Wife Tests Positive for COVID-19

Idris Elba sat down with Oprah for a FaceTime interview about his COVID-19 diagnosis.

HU Staff: Kecia Gayle @kecia.kae On Saturday, Idris Elba and wife Sabrina Dhowre Elba joined a video chat with Oprah Winfrey to give an update on how they’re doing after the actor revealed he tested positive for coronavirus. ______________________________________________________________ During their conversation, Sabrina told Oprah that she has also tested positive for the virus. “I’ve been tested — actually, I found out this morning, Oprah, that I tested positive,” Sabrina said while sitting alongside her husband from their quarantine in New Mexico. ______________________________________________________________ Despite those results, the 31-year-old insisted she was “not surprised” — and never questioned staying with the star after his confirmed infection. She explained, “I wanted to be with him. That’s the instinct of a wife. You want to go and take care,” she told Winfrey for her new series for Apple TV+, “Oprah Talks. Sabrina went on to say, “I could have made a decision to maybe put myself in a separate room or stay away and I’m sure that people are making those tough decisions.
