Cardi B came under fire this week because she asked her Twitter followers if she should buy an $88,000 bag.
Should I spend 88K for this damn purse ? Omggg it’s tempting 😩😩😩

But people got upset saying it’s insensitive to post something like this during the pandemic.
"People are out here hurting. Can't buy food or pay their rent, and you are seriously talking about a purse for tht kind of money. Why not just donate it to your fans. We are the reason why you have tht money to waste.”
This lost me entirely. Think how many people without food or shelter could make it through the winter. Or send a few first responders some good relief packages. Or donate to inner city schools. Or...so many things. Even tweeting this shows such a narrow, selfish mind.

But of course Cardi did not stay silent! She explained that she’s donated over $2 million to various charities this year alone and is working on more.
