The UAE has eased its travel-related safety measures as daily COVID-19 cases continue to fall.

Starting April 19, unvaccinated Emiratis will be allowed to travel abroad by presenting a negative result of a PCR test taken within 48 hours before departure.

They must also complete a travel application form on the Al Hosn app.

Authorities also confirmed that unvaccinated travellers under the age of 16 will not be required to present a negative PCR test result on arrival.

Previously, the exemption applied to children under 12.

The latest guidelines were announced during the government's COIVD-19 media briefing on Wednesday.
