A delegation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has checked in on the injured Palestinians receiving treatment at the UAE field hospital in the Gaza Strip.
Led by Sultan Mohammed Al Shamsi, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for International Development Affairs, the delegation was briefed on the treatments offered at the hospital, which has been established in stages, to provide urgent medical care to Palestinians injured in the Israel-Hamas conflict.
The 150-bed hospital was launched as part of the ‘Gallant Knight 3’ humanitarian operation under the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
It features departments for general surgery, orthopedics, pediatrics and gynecology, in addition to anesthesia and intensive care units catering to both children and adults.
The facility will also house clinics for internal medicine, dentistry, psychiatry and family medicine. Supplementary services will include CT imaging, a laboratory, a pharmacy and other support functions.
A UAE aid ship, with over 7,000 tonnes of urgent relief supplies for Gaza, has docked at Al Arish Port in Egypt, ahead of its preparation and delivery to the Strip.
The UAE and Moldova have signed a visa-free agreement aimed at strengthening bilateral ties and facilitating easier tourism and business travel between the two countries.
Moldova's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mihai Bobescui, has visited the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi, alongside Moldovan and Emirati delegates during his official visit to the UAE.
President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has conferred the First-Class Order of Zayed II on Martina Strong, the outgoing ambassador of the US to the UAE, in recognition of her efforts during her tenure in the country.
