The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) has reduced the price of nasal swab Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) tests to AED 150.
These prices will only apply to government hospitals and clinics.
Meanwhile, private health centres and hospitals will not be allowed to charge more than AED 250 for a test.
It's part of efforts by the health authorities to encourage widespread testing to curb the spread of COVID-19.

The UAE is exempting fines for travellers unable to depart due to recent flight suspensions and airspace closures.

Flydubai has announced that it will resume scheduled flights to several destinations on Thursday, March 5, with some operations impacted "where airspace restrictions remain in place".

The UAE has strongly condemned the attempted targeting of Turkey through an Iranian ballistic missile, which was destroyed before reaching its territory by the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) on Wednesday.
Beware of fake emails offering support or insurance
The UAE Ministry of Interior is warning the public about fraudulent emails asking recipients to complete a so-called emergency registration form to claim support, compensation or insurance.
Dubai extends 24-hour truck movement permit
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and Dubai Police have extended the truck movement permit until Sunday, March 8.
