The public are being reminded against hosting or attending private gatherings during the Eid Al Adha holidays or face stiff penalties and legal action.

Taking to their official social media handles, the Abu Dhabi Police informed that the hosts will be fined AED 10,000, while each guest will be handed AED 5,000 in fines.

People are also urged to report any gatherings or COVID-19 safety violations by dialling the Aman service on 8002626, texting 2828 or emailing aman@adpolice.gov.ae.

It's part of efforts by the authorities to protect the people and curb the spread of COVID-19 in the UAE.
