Mumbai Indians returned to winning ways in the Indian Premier League after they beat Kings XI Punjab by 48 runs in Abu Dhabi on Thursday.
Defending a score of 191-4, Mumbai restricted their opponents to 143-8 in the allotted 20 overs.
Mumbai skipper Rohit Sharma top-scored with 70 off 45 balls to complete 5,000 IPL runs, while Kieron Pollard was unbeaten on 47 (20 balls) and Hardik Pandya struck a quick-fire 30 off 11 balls.
In response, Nicholas Pooran was Punjab's top scorer with 44 off 27 balls.
