Three people died and one was seriously injured after a helicopter crashed in a field during a flying lesson near a seaside resort town on Britain's Isle of Wight on Monday.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary said they were unable to provide further information about those involved and would not comment on the circumstances of the incident.
British media reported that Northumbria Helicopter, the operator, has said one of its aircraft, a G-OCLV model, was involved in the crash during a flying lesson.
The police earlier said the helicopter had come down in a field near Ventnor.
A critical care team, including a doctor and specialist paramedic, was dispatched by the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.
A spokesperson for the air ambulance service said it had airlifted one person to hospital.
