Smartwings plane makes emergency landing in Budapest

A Smartwings passenger plane was forced to make an emergency landing shortly after takeoff at Budapest's Liszt Ferenc Airport on Thursday.

According to reports, the aircraft's landing gear was damaged.

All 151 passengers and nine crew on board Egypt-bound Smartwings' Boeing 737-400 are safe, national news agency MTI confirmed.
