Kuwait will suspend all commercial flights to and from the UK, from Wednesday, January 6, just days after lifting all restrictions.

In a Tweet, the General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) said the suspension will begin at 4:00 am (local time), on Wednesday and will be revised following recommendations by the health authorities.

Kuwait had reopened its borders on January 2, after suspending all commercial flights in December over fears over a more infectious coronavirus variant, which was first reported in the UK.

Flight services had resumed at the Kuwait International Airport on Saturday with PCR tests mandatory for all travellers entering the country.
