A suicide car bomber drove into a checkpoint in the Somalia capital of Mogadishu early Saturday.
According to eyewitness accounts, "metal debris fell inside the port" and "gunfire" was heard as "security forces surrounded the area".
No group has claimed responsibility and the police made no immediate comment on casualties.
