Actor Jason Momoa will reprise his role as Arthur Curry a.k.a. Aquaman, in the highly anticipated sequel, "Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom".
A 30-second new teaser has just dropped, revealing the first glimpses of the underwater marvels that audiences can look forward to, and when the first full trailer will be released.
Along with Momoa, the film will also see the return of key characters from the first installment, with Amber Heard as Mera, Patrick Wilson as Orm, and Nicole Kidman as Atlanna. Game of Thrones star Pilou Asbæk also finds a spot in the feature.
James Wan, who was at the helm of the first Aquaman film, will direct the sequel.
Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom has garnered widespread interest, largely due to the commercial and critical success of the original Aquaman film, which grossed over a billion dollars at the box-office. It went on to become the highest-grossing installment in the DCEU and the highest-grossing film based on any DC character as well as Warner Bros' second-highest-grossing film worldwide behind Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2.
The sequel is set to make a big splash in theatres in December.
