Despite its adult rating and extreme violence, or maybe because of it, “Joker” starring Joaquin Phoenix broke box office records this past weekend. The critically-acclaimed film about the origin of Batman’s arch nemesis made $243 million, a new high for an October opening weekend. The film is getting a lot of Oscar buzz for director Todd Phillips and star Joaquin Phoenix.
How odd! For the second time in about a week, Kylie Jenner has run into her ex, rapper Tyga. Kylie was with sister Khloe at Hyde night club in Los Angeles Saturday night, and Tyga just happened to be there. Kylie only last week broke things off with her baby daddy Travis Scott, and it was said before that Kylie and Tyga are not a thing again, and if that’s true, they should probably find new places to hang out.
This is a fantastic story about getting slapped by Queen Elizabeth. Elton John is coming out with an autobiography soon and in it he recounts a story about witnessing Queen Elizabeth slap one of her adult nephews. Apparently the Queen’s nephew, Viscount Linley disobeyed her in front of Elton and she wasn’t having it. According to Elton, Liz said this, with a slap after each word: “Don’t’ – slap – ‘argue’ – slap – ‘with’ – slap – ‘me’ – slap – ‘I’ – slap – ‘am’ – slap – ‘THE QUEEN!” As the man walked away, she gave Elton a wink. I didn’t want to read an Elton John biography, but now I kinda do.
