The more the internet and the world care about somebody that’s doing something they’re not used to, they put it on such a high pedestal that then it’s even worse.” Billie said she knows people will probably criticize her for this new image, but she does what she wants and says she’s ”not letting myself be owned anymore.”  When asked what her younger self would think, she said, “ ...you shouldn’t try to be a person that your old self would like, and you shouldn’t try to be a person that your future self is going to be,” she said. “You should be exactly who you feel like you are and want to be in that moment, otherwise you’re going to go insane.”
