A day after Elon Musk joked that Doge Coin was “a hustle,” his SpaceX company has announced they’re going to be sending a probe to the moon funded entirely by the cryptocurrency.  The Geometric Energy Corporation is planning to send a 40kg payload to the moon, equipped with cameras and sensors, and it’s going to pay SpaceX to get it there, all in Doge Coin. Doge sank 36% after Elon’s joke on SNL, but has since started to climb again.

The Internet is trying to get Eddie John’s paid.  Eddie was a song writer in the 1970’s, and wrote the song “More Spell on You” in 1979.  Flash forward to 2000, and French duo Daft Punk have the huge hit “One More Time” featuring samples of the horn section from Eddie’s song.  Eddie, now 70-years-old, says he was never paid, and he’s now living in a homeless shelter, so he could use the money.  Turns out the rights to the song belong to a French publishing house called GM Muspiro, and Daft Punk did pay royalties for “More Spell On You” in 2000.  GM Muspiro says they couldn’t find Eddie to pay him back then, but will now revisit it to see if he can get paid.  This is all thanks to an investigative report in the LA Times.  Yay journalism!  Here’s an awesome video showing how samples of Eddie’s song were used to make “One More Time.”

Seth Rogen says he’s done working with James Franco.  Seth was talking to a reporter at The Sunday Times in the UK about Franco, whom he’s worked with many times in films, but who has been accused of abusing multiple women.  When asked if he believes the allegations against Franco, Seth said, “What I can say is that I despise abuse and harassment and I would never cover or conceal the actions of someone doing it, or knowingly put someone in a situation where they were around someone like that."  On whether or not he’d work with James in the future, Seth said, the truth is that I have not and I do not plan to right now."

Jason Statham talked about his short time on the set of his new film “Wrath of Man” with rookie actor Post Malone.  Post had a one-day shoot on set, with emphasis on “shoot” - Malone’s  ad guy character dies in the trailer at the hands - or gun - of Statham’s character H.   Jason said that Post came in very enthusiastic, telling him, “I can’t wait for you to kill me.”  Jason says Post did a great job...of dying.  “Wrath of Man” is out now.
