Tyler Perry excepting the Ultimate Icon Award at the BET Awards delivered a rousing speech about the state of race relations in America. Preach!
John Legend and DJ Khaled did a nice tribute to Nipsey Hussle, who was shot and killed earlier this year in Los Angeles.
Nipsey was also honored with the BET Humanitarian Award for his community outreach efforts.

They’re known as the “Flying Wallendas,” a family known for their tight rope walking act. Last night in New York City’s Times Square Nik and Lijana Wallenda walked a tight rope 25 stories above the ground as a huge crowd looked on. It took them about 36 minutes to make the walk across the quarter mile square. At one point Nik even climbed over his sister.
A woman named Tiffani Adams found herself alone on a cold, dark plane after having fallen asleep on an Air Canada flight from Toronto to Quebec. Apparently the crew didn’t notice her laying down in an empty row and shut down the plane for the night. When Tiffani awoke, her cell phone was dead and she had to fumble around in the darkness to try to find a way out. Terrifying! She eventually found a flashlight in the cockpit, which helped her figure out how to open the patches on the side door. Only trouble was she was very high off the ground without a way to jump out. A guy hauling luggage happen to come close and saw her flashlight and dangling her legs out the door, brought a staircase and freed her. Air Canada is investigating how she was left abandoned on the plane.
