Yes, just when you thought this year couldn’t be any weirder, Kanye says, “Hold my Yeezys.“ Kanye put out the below tweet on US Independence Day, apparently marking his candidacy to run against Donald Trump and likely Democratic nominee Joe Biden. But is he serious? Well he did use #2020VISION at the end of the tweet, which makes me think like he’s got a platform to run on. For now it’s just a tweet, but the current US president paved his way to the White House in tweets.
But running for president costs a lot of money right? You would certainly need a wealthy benefactor, especially this late in the race. Good thing Kanye has been hanging out with his friend, billionaire Elon Musk. Elon tweeted out his full support.
