Word came in last week that Tom Cruise and the “Mission Impossible” production were coming back to Dubai, and sure enough, a lot of people have noticed road closures and detours around Downtown Burj Khalifa today.  Director Christopher McQuarrie has been sharing some Dubai pics on Instagram for about six days now, with one in the downtown area, and others in the desert.  No TC sightings reported yet, though.  It’s like 2015 all over again...but this time with masks.

Are you ready for the next creepy Netflix true crime documentary?  The streamer just dropped a trailer for “The Vanishing at the Hotel Cecil,” which tells the story of an LA hotel known for people checking in...but not necessarily checking out.  Seriously, it’s nicknamed “Hotel Death.”  By the way, it’s been closed for years, but if you go to Trip Advisor, there are still some reviews for the place, one reading, “ The hotel is clean alright, but the clientele is nothing to write home about. There can be disturbances and you might see things you dont want to.”  The documentary is out February 10.

“Thor: Love & Thunder” began production in Australia  yesterday, and director Taika Waititi shared some pictures of he and Star Chris Hemsworth celebrating with a 1st Nation performance.  The two pose for pics with traditional indigenous landowners from the area where the film will be shot.  Taika said in a tweet that he encourages filmmakers to engage with 1st nation people on shooting locations whenever they can because “it’s the right thing to do.”
