Tell me if this sounds familiar - Tiger Woods has been injured after a single-car crash in an SUV. Tiger was on his way yesterday morning to give golf lessons to NFL star Drew Brees when his Genesis SUV went over a hill and rolled several times down an embankment. Tiger was reportedly awake when police found him, but he was trapped in the car. Firefighters shattered the front window with an axe to get him out. Tiger was taken to the hospital for emergency surgery on his legs - he suffered a shattered bones and had compound fractures. Police say they don’t suspect Tiger was under the influence, and no blood was taken at the hospital. They also say that it didn’t appear that Tiger hit the breaks before going over the hill. Word is he was pretty late for the golf lesson he was going to, and that he may have been speeding. Tiger was wearing his seat belt, and police say that may have saved his life. Back in 2009 Tiger had a single-car accident in an SUV, which started his tabloid tailspin into controversy involving his at-the-time wife and several other women. Hopefully this one isn’t so controversial. Tiger is out of surgery and awake, so apparently he’s going to be okay. He was just recovering from a fifth back surgery.
Travis Scott was mobbed during a surprise pop-up appearance in Los Angeles yesterday. Travis launched a magazine called “iD” and had some other Cactus Jack merchandise. The hype beasts were out in full force with their Nikes and Reese’s cereal boxes to sign, with no social distancing and few masks. Travis, who was wearing a mask, signed some stuff for a while, but had to be muscled out after the crowd was getting a bit too aggressive. Last September Travis did something similar at a McDonald’s when his combo meal was launched. He was fined a couple hundred bucks then for the incident.
Vanessa Bryant has publicly called out rapper Meek Mill for a lyric in a song that referenced her late husband Kobe. Mill wrote a line, “I’m goin out in my chopper. It’ll be another Kobe.” Vanessa wrote a note on her Instagram story and tagged Meek in it, saying “I find this line extremely insensitive and disrespectful. Period. I am not familiar with any of your music, but you can do better than this.” Meek says he has since apologized in private to Vanessa.
