Daft Punk came out of nowhere and retired yesterday. The French house duo who came up in the late 90’s with club anthems like “Around the World” and “One More Time” have been together for 28 years, and have worked pretty regularly throughout that time, more recently working with The a Weeknd on “Starboy” and “I Feel it Coming.”  The guys released a video last night, sort of a mini-movie of the two in their robot costumes walking in the desert.  One stops and apparently decides it’s time to quite, and self destructs.  The other walks off into the sunset.  At the end, a graphic announces the dates 1993-2021 - acknowledging the beginning and end of the group. Sad!

The Mars rover Perseverance landed on the red planet a couple of days ago, it took a while for the video of the landed to reach us here...I mean there’s no WiFi on Mars, right?  So here is the incredible landing which involved a parachute first, then a little rocket-powered ship lowering the rover to the surface, then using cables to gently put it on the ground.  So cool!

We also got to hear what another planet sounds like for the first time...listen to this!
