Ed Asner has died. He was a well-known actor since the 1960’s, but modern audiences probably know him best as either Santa Claus in Will Farrell’s “Elf,” or the voice of Carl in Disney/Pixar’s “Up.” Ed was 91.
Kanye West’s album “Donda” has been out about a day and it’s already gone #1 in 93 countries on Apple Music, Ye tracks occupying the top 15 spots on the single list. Swimmer Wang Shun had a similar issue with his gold medal. The Tokyo medals were partially made from recycled electronics, a bid to be a bit more environmentally friendly. The Tokyo Games' organising committee said in a statement that the peeling material was a protective coating rather than the gold plating. “Even if you remove the coating, it does not directly affect the medals’ quality."
