The 2021 Grammy Nominations are here!
Beyoncé leads the nominations with 9 overall, Taylor Swift, Roddy Ricch and Dua Lipa got 6 nods.
Beyoncé is the Grammy’s most nominated female artist ever.
She now has 79 total nominations meaning she’s tied with Sir Paul McCartney for the second-most nominated of all time
Her husband Jay Z and Quincy Jones are the most nominated with 80 overall.
Shockingly, The Weeknd picked up zero nominations
He wrote on Instagram: “The Grammys remain corrupt. You owe me, my fans and the industry transparency.”
Justin Bieber got four nominations but he’s not happy because he was given the honors in the Pop category and not the R&B category.
“I am flattered to be acknowledged and appreciated for my artistry. With that being said, I set out to make an R&B album. ‘Changes’ was and is an R&B album. It is not being acknowledged as an R&B album, which is very strange to me.”
Meanwhile, BTS made history by becoming the first Korean act to get a Grammy nomination after their nod for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.
The Grammy’s will take place on January 31 with Trevor Noah hosting.
