Friends actor James Michael Tyler is battling stage 4 prostate cancer, which has left his lower body paralyzed.
Tyler says his worsening illness was the reason he could not attend the reunion in person. He played Gunther on the series.
The 59 year old said the cancer began mutating at the start of the pandemic and progressed after he missed a doctor’s appointment.
